Calling everyone, we need your participation! The Web Committee is establishing Sober Events & Sobriety News posting procedures.
If you want to have a say in how we post news and events, then join us on Friday, September 12 at 6pm on Zoom (TBA) for a workshop.
Proposed Baseline Event Posting Criteria:
- Does the information come from the source, not a third party?
- Is the host an AA home group, intergroup, district, or world service?
- Does the event information have an explicit AA identifier?
Other Considerations: - Should we post events from external entities like PENNSCYPAA, Al-Anon, etc.?
- Should events that are restricted (explicitly or implied) by gender, race, age, sexual orientation, etc. be posted?
- Should events outside HAI’s geographic area be posted?
- If the event was posted in the past, should it be posted in perpetuity?
