Our Mission:
- To share the AA message online with the public and most importantly, with people struggling with alcohol addiction.
- To serve as a hub of AA information for individuals, loved ones, employers, Corrections, Health Care Facilities, Home Groups and general public within District 36.
- To provide links to AA resources, meetings, events, news and contact information.
- To ensure that information is updated promptly & accurately and can be found quickly & intuitively.
The HAI Website Committee held an open meeting recently to establish guidelines for posting meetings and events on aaharrisburg.org so that we may more consistently stay committed to our primary purpose. If all answers to the following questions are “yes,” then the event will be posted.
- Does the event host identify as an AA Group and share the same primary purpose: to stay sober and help other alcoholics achieve sobriety?
- Does the event refrain from affiliating HAI with any related facility or outside enterprise?
- Is the meeting or event open to all alcoholics? (If it targets a specific population based on gender, age, race, sexual orientation, etc., is it still open to all alcoholics?)
