Events Posting Meeting

Calling everyone! The Web Committee is establishing Sober Events & Sobriety News posting procedures for the HAI Bylaws.

For HAI purposes, If all answers to the following 3 questions are “yes,” then the event will be posted.

  1. Does the event host identify as an AA Group and share the same primary purpose: to stay sober and help other alcoholics achieve sobriety?
    If no, stop. Can’t post on HAI site.
  2. Does the event refrain from affiliating HAI with any outside facility or enterprise?
    If no, stop. Can’t post on HAI site.
  3. Is the meeting or event open to all alcoholics? (If it targets a specific population based on gender, age, race, sexual orientation, etc., is it still open to all alcoholics?)
    If no, stop. Can’t post on HAI site.

As it stands, we would NOT be able to post events put on by Al-anon or any other external entity. However, GSO states that AA groups can develop their own posting procedures. Attend our Zoom Meeting this Wednesday at 6:00pm if you have questions or concerns about the proposed language. Thanks in advance for your attention to this!
